Why Steel?

Maybe you're new to steel or maybe you already know a bit about it but here are our founders' reasons for why you should consider stainless steel for your kitchen crockery:

  1. No micro-plastics/plastics: The biggest and most obvious reason is to reduce the amount of plastic in yours and your little ones' lives. We are all aware that the amount of micro-plastics in human bodies is growing significantly. Every time you cut food on a plastic plate (perhaps when you're cutting food into bite-sizes for your toddler), micro-plastics get released.  Stainless steel crockery is a quick and easy win to reduce your exposure to plastic.
  2. Insanely durable: Did you know one of the definitions of sustainable is 'able to continue over a period of time'? Well, steel crockery has a very, very, long life. Our founder uses steel plates and boxes that are older than her. If you don't believe us, here is the back of her steel plate with engraving showing the date of first use (in our founder's family, it used to be a tradition to gift wedding guests steel crockery engraved with the date of the wedding).
  3. No food residue: Have you ever noticed that the cuts on plastic plates and bowls tend to collect food residue? Plastic plates may seem convenient, but over time they scratch, warp, and trap food particles in tiny grooves—making them harder to clean and easier for bacteria to stick around. You’ve probably seen those weird stains and stubborn smells that never go away. Our stainless steel essentials  don’t stain, and don’t absorb odors. They’re naturally non-porous, so they stay cleaner, last longer, and look good as new—meal after meal.
  4. No weird silicone smell: Our founder tried silicone plates for her baby but found that after a while, all the food started tasting like silicone! To fix this, she would have to constantly deep-clean her silicone plates with vinegar and ain't nobody got time for that. Stainless steel has no such smell, and in fact, we firmly believe that drinks taste even better in steel glasses!
